As Summer Comes to a Close

Posted on

I really don’t know where to start so I’ll start when I last left off.

My contract at as a consultant at the Music Firm in Hollywood ended on time and well… Then I was unemployed for a whole 12 hours before singing a contract for temporary work at a Music Accessory Maker’s offices in Simi Valley.

The work involves more of my original talents, mixing, audio stuff, than my previous job where I was more focus on business. Still, I can’t speak much about what I worked on.

I briefly stated to a few people that I had applied to a few local universities to attend their business school for the fall. Sadly, all three; USC, UCLA, and Pepperdine have passed on giving me a spot. This does not discourage as I will be taking more classes at a community college and try once more for the Spring semester.

Moving along…. I met someone… Sadly this person lives on the other side of the country. Yet even though we are miles apart and with busy schedule we have been able to connect and make time for each other. As some of you know I was not looking for someone; I even think I told a few people that I was going to be taking some time to work on me. It just happened… just like life, it just happens.

On a side note: I saw ‘500 days of Summer’ about a week ago. It’s a life changing movie… if you haven’t yet seen it you should… but be warned it is not a love story.

Seeing that the whole business school plan didn’t work out so well here in Los Angeles I have started to think of bigger and better things. I have shared it with a few people but I want to put it in writing. I am going to be moving to Barcelona, Spain in the coming year. I will try to apply to the University there and just go with the flow.

All of this has reminded me of this Quote,

“Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” – John Lennon

I had a plan of what I wanted my life to be like but it never works out that way. And you know what… I’m happy it has turn out the way it has.
